Karen Cassine: Pixel Perfect
"Crafting seamless, user-centric web experiences, where design meets functionality."

WEBSITE PORTFOLIO

Hi, I'm Karen Cassine, a front-end web developer with over four years of experience building custom templates for platforms like WordPress, Kentico, Netlify, and Webflow. In my recent roles, I’ve developed and managed over 100 websites across corporate and nonprofit sectors, working with a wide range of tools and technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and WordPress. I regularly use Figma and Draw.io for prototyping and user flow design, and I implement heat maps and performance audits to optimize post-launch performance. I’m also well-versed in version control systems like Git, and I’ve integrated APIs, handled domain/DNS configurations, managed CMS platforms, and optimized websites for SEO, accessibility, and speed. My approach to development is always user-first and detail-oriented, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable code.

SMARTBEAR.COM

During my time at SmartBear, I had the opportunity to work on Smartbear.com creating and maintaining hundreds custom templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The site was built on the Kentico CMS and later migrated to wordpress.

BUGSNAG.COM

I maintained and migrated the Bugsnag website from Webflow to WordPress. As part of the migration, I created custom templates using CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL

SCAMSPOTTER.ORG

At my position as Web Dev at Cybercrime Support Network, I helped build and deploy ScamSpotter.org, a website aimed at preventing people from falling victim to online scams. Using Netlify and Google Cloud.

FIGHTCYBERCRIME.ORG

I was the solo developer behind fightcybercrime.org, a website built on WordPress and customized with HTML and CSS. I worked closely with the marketing team to upgrade the site’s UI/UX, focusing on improving its visual design, navigation, and overall user experience.

SWAGGERHUB.IO

This is another website maintained and created on Kentico. I worked closely with marketing teams to create several user elements for this site.
